Education: BA Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University

Montessori Training: Assistant Training from the Montessori Center of Minnesota in 2019, Primary Certificate from Virginia Montessori Teacher Education Center in 2021

Rose Ann worked in the Twin Cities for 6 years. She was a Children’s House assistant for 2 years, prior to completing her guide certification. In the process of completing her certification, she realized the importance of a space that embodied independence and security for children. She strives to cultivate a Montessori environment where independence, respect, and holistic growth takes place. Rose Ann is thankful that MSD prompted her to move to Duluth! Watercolor painting on the shores of Lake Superior is a favorite pastime. She also enjoys traveling to see her family.

Caleigh Cain

Sunflower Young Children’s Guide

Education: Bachelor of Arts from University of Minnesota-Duluth with degrees in Early Childhood Studies, Communication, and French Studies.

Montessori Training: Infant/Toddler Montessori training in 2021 from North American Montessori Center.

Before coming to MSD, Caleigh had several years of experience working in childcare in Duluth and in the Twin Cities. She loved learning about and implementing the Montessori method throughout her time here and watching the children gain independence and learn life-long skills at such an early age. Outside of work, she enjoys writing, hiking, snowboarding, attending local art and music shows, and exploring everything else that Duluth has to offer.
